IN the Community

Cutts Floral Distributors strives to make the biggest impact possible in everything we do. While we love and appreciate the beauty of the flowers we see everyday, we also recognize that there’s so much more to our community than business, it’s the PEOPLE! That’s why our Mission Statement, “Delivering Flowers with an Impact,” is easy to live by because we can bring so much joy, love and respect to an individual with a single bloom. Below are a few of the outreach events we have done. To partner with us on our next community event, give us a call.

FoodNet

FoodNet is a 501(c)(3) organization, made up of volunteers from many different churches and other non-profits, trying to stop the waste of food and provide for those in need.

It provides perishable foods (such as fruits, vegetables, dairy products, bread, etc.), which are in high demand since these are items not typically found at a dry goods food pantry.

Each week, Cutts donates flowers to FoodNet so that those who come and get food, also have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of what we do everyday. Our purpose is to share hope and happiness with others one bloom at a time.

Petal It Forward

On October 24, 2018, Cutts, Luxx Events, Strictly Business Magazine and other local volunteers stationed themselves along busy intersections across Lincoln to randomly surprise people on the streets with flowers. Lucky recipients received two bouquets — one to keep, and one to share with a friend, family member, co-worker, or even a complete stranger. In total, we handed out over 1,000 stems of roses.

On this day, florists nationwide handed out flowers in 410 cities in all 50 states, plus D.C. There were a lot of smiles going around as the country experienced flower power. Petal It Forward is a prime example of the floral industry coming together for a common goal, while elevating consumer perceptions about flowers. Spear headed by the Society of American Florists (SAF), this event is something Cutts will be making an annual event. To join us this year, please send us an email or give us a call.
